Ashley O'Connor started out her artistic career in 1997, training to be an art teacher in the prestigious National College of Art and Design in Dublin. Having a strong desire to work in a creative world and her love of make up, Ashley changed direction and started a career as a make up artist and has been working in this field for the past 10 years.
After 2 years of training in the most established make up course in Ireland, IADT Dun Laoghaire, where she was honored with a distinction, Ashley career began working on the movie set of Jerry Bruckheimer's “King Arthur“ and followed on to working in the many facets of the make up artistry world. Ashley has worked for "Make Up Forever" Cosmetics, where she taught clients the secrets to having the perfect make up. She spent an extensive part of her career working for RTE Television, where she acquired her sharp eye for detail and gained massive experience working on various prime time entertainment shows such as, “The Afternoon Show“, “The Podge and Rodge show“ to Drama's such “Fair City“ and “The Clinic“.
Ashley recently returned from living in Stockholm, Sweden where she built up a strong portfolio in the fashion world and she is now working independently as a freelance make up artist. Her work covers various concerts, music videos and advertisement campaigns with clients such as Roxy Quicksilver, o2, Vodafone, Sure deodorant, Irish Heart Foundation and Guinness. Other work includes fashion shows, editorial photo shoots and opera's, Ashley's work has been featured in magazines such as Image, KISS, Health and Living to Ireland on Sunday and Irish Times. Ashley's most recent work includes films for the Universal channel and Syfy channel.
